The Wildcats matched and then passed Adolph Rupp’s 1953-54 team, who finished the season 25-0 for the best start to a season in school history. The consensus #1 in the polls every week of the season, one week earlier at Rupp, the Wildcats clinched the school’s 46th Southeastern Conference championship.
