Harry Gleason played for the Boston Americans from 1901 to 1903 and then with the St. Louis Browns in 1904 and 1905. He is most noted for almost being killed by a ball thrown by pitcher Rube Waddell.He was a third baseman for the 1903 Boston Pilgrims, winners of the first World Series.
Gleason is an extremely rare single-signed ball. In fact, this is the first single-signed Gleason ball we have offered in the past 20 years. He passed away in 1961. Gleason’s signature has been coated with a light layer of protective shellac, otherwise the ball remains in Excellent condition.
